More than 36,000 Sudanese people have fled after fall of El Fasher to paramilitary group, reports UN agency

A senior UN official sounded warnings last week about "widespread abuses" and "race-driven revenge attacks" by RSF in Bara.

The diplomat cautioned about patterns similar to those in Darfur, where RSF fighters have been accused of mass killings, sexual violence and abductions against certain racial groups.

The church leader on Sunday appealed for an quick cessation of hostilities and the establishment of relief routes in Sudan, saying that attacks on civilians and obstacles to humanitarian aid "are causing unacceptable suffering."

Sudan's ambassador to Egypt on Sunday charged RSF of perpetrating war crimes in El Fasher and stated that the Sudanese government would not discuss with the armed faction.

The diplomat further encouraged the world nations to classify the group as a terrorist entity.
